Review: Exquisite by Sarah Stovell

My Thoughts: I went into reading this one completely blind having no idea what it was going to be about except it was in the psychological thriller genre about love gone wrong. WOAH I am so very glad I didn’t read anything to spoil this one. I really love a book with an unreliable narrator and this takes that idea to a whole other level because you get two different narrations and you don’t know which to trust. Another thing I loved was how real this book seemed. I felt like it could have been plucked straight from a true crime episode (or maybe the series snapped would be better suited). This book absolutely surprised me in every good way possible. It was fast paced and very hard to put down – which is probably why I read it in two days. I highly recommend my fellow thriller fans to pick this one up!

Book Blurb: Bo Luxton has it all—a loving family, a beautiful home in the Lake District, and a clutch of bestselling books to her name. Enter Alice Dark, an aspiring writer who is drifting through life, with a series of dead-end jobs and a freeloading boyfriend. When they meet at a writers’ retreat, the chemistry is instant, and a sinister relationship develops. Or does it? Breathlessly pacey, taut and terrifying, Exquisite is a startlingly original and unbalancing psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last page.
